Pools and beaches

At the San Simon Resort in Izola, you can cool off on the well-kept, partly pebble, partly grassy, partly paved beach. Outside the summer season, the indoor pool at Hotel Haliaetum is also available. The beautiful bay with a low approach to the sea is very suitable for children. The bathing area also boasts an attractive waterslide - the only waterslide on the Slovenian coast.

The indoor pool at Hotel Haliaetum is perfect for water fun in the colder months of the year. Access to the pool for hotel guests is free of charge.

San Simon beach

The San Simon beach will delight beach lovers of all persuasions. Bathers can choose between the grassy surfaces, the sand, or the paved part of the bathing area. Children will be delighted by the fun waterslide, the volleyball court and, last but not least, the remains of an ancient Roman villa in the nearby archaeological park.

Water sports

You can also try your hand at various water sports on the beach. You can rent kayaks, pedal boats, or SUP boards. Loungers and beach umbrellas are also available for an additional fee. Access to the beach is free for San Simon Resort guests.

Other beaches nearby

Just a short walk in the direction of Strunjan, you will find the beach under the Belvedere. In the direction

of Izola, you can also bathe at Delfin Beach, and when you get to Izola you can jump into the water at the city beach, which has a real lighthouse!
