In Terme Ptuj, we pamper your taste buds with delicious Styrian specialities and a selection of wines that reflect the rich wine-growing tradition of Ptuj and its surroundings. Styrian dishes mainly consist of pork, flour, potatoes and beans, butter, cream and eggs, while turnips and sauerkraut stand out among the vegetables.

A Styrian dinner

On Saturdays in Terme Ptuj, we invite you to a "Styrian dinner", where the emphasis is on select Styrian delicacies, accompanied by a glass of excellent local wine.

Roman dinner

Every Friday, hotel guests are welcome to join us at the Roman dinner, which is presided over by the Roman soldier Primus, after whom the Grand Hotel Primus is named. At the dinner, Primus welcomes our guests and, upon request, also takes photos with them. At our Roman dinners, among other delicacies, guests are served roasted pork legs glazed in Pohorje honey and slowly cooked in a Roman oven for 24 hours.

Themed brunches

Popular activities at the hotel include themed Sunday brunches. In a show cooking event, the head chef prepares the food in front of the guests. There is an organised children’s entertainment programme at brunch time.

The Primus wine stories

Styria or Štajerska is known for its fine wines. In honour of this tradition, the Gemina XIII Club organises the Primus wine stories – evenings with a sommelier and the stories of renowned wine-makers, as well as excellent food.

The “Be Fit” programme

Anyone who wants to eat healthier can pick one of the menus from the “Be Fit" programme, which aims to care for our guests' well-being. In the hotel dining room, you can find advice on which dishes to try and in what quantities it is recommended to combine them. Simply follow the labels next to the individual dishes in the buffet and put together the perfect meal for your well-being according to your preferences.

The unique Primus and Augusta cakes

At our confectionery shop in Terme Ptuj, we prepare desserts that you can’t find anywhere else! Two of the highlights from our dessert menu are the decadent Primus cake with a liquid chocolate centre and the Augusta cake with a mild fruity flavour.
