For all lovers of cacti and succulent plants, a visit to the Cactus Garden, located about two kilometres from Portorož on the tip of the Seča peninsula, is a must. It is a family-owned garden, but permanently open to outside visitors (just ring the bell on the metal door when you visit). There are said to be over 1,500 different types of cacti in the Cactus Garden, some which can also be purchased.
